I'm sure the last couple of weekends have been GORGEOUS in the mountains but we waited until today to go. We drove all the way to Kenosha pass (about an hour and a half) only to find all the leaves had already fallen. Todd and I tried to explain to Keri and Dave how beautiful it would've been and then decided to go find a grove of trees somewhere and take pictures until we got kicked off of someone's private property.
We found "Wilderness on Wheels" a camp site just a few miles from Kenosha where people in wheelchairs can camp with friends and family. We parked in visitors parking and were greeted by a lady who we thought we were going to have to sweet talk into letting us explore but she just had us sign a form, told us where the bathrooms were and sent us on our way. Sweet! Little did we know we would fall in love with "Wilderness on Wheels". Since it's handicap accessible there are long boardwalks all throughout the trees which made it safer for the kids to run around without tripping and gave us benches and other fun things for them to play on and around.
Poor Aubrey has pink eye in both eyes and was hungry and tired so she cried a lot but would get distracted every once in awhile. The other kids did great and it was fun to get out with Keri & Dave. It also was a nice Sunday drive since Todd had the Saturday session of conference on the Zune.

It was a great day - listening to conference AND being out in nature with friends. We love Colorado!
