4th of July in Boise

Since we're only about 7 hours from Boise we decided to head there for the 4th of July. We stayed with Crystal and Drew and had an AWESOME time with everyone.

One day we headed to a splash park out in Eagle. The kids weren't NEAR as excited about it as we were hoping but it was still nice to be able to get out of the house for a bit.

What they WERE excited about was Roaring Springs. It took Todd and I a little convincing to spend so much money on an outing but man alive were we glad we did. The girls LOVED it and since we had Grandma with us AND Corinna who doesn't like rides AND Kim who was hugely pregnant Todd and I got to run around without the kids for a bit. We had SO MUCH FUN running around all carefree and laughing and screaming like we did before kids :)

This is what happens when you make a 2 year old run around in the sun and play in the water and then feed her cotton candy. CRASH. She fell asleep instantly in the car and then didn't even wake up when we brought her in and put her on the couch. If you know Aubrey, you'll know she was TIRED.

For the 4th we bought a bunch of fireworks and lit them in the street at Crystal's house. The kids loved it and Todd and Matt sure had fun setting them off. It was a fun family night. The next night we headed to the Lowe's parking lot and watched the fireworks over the city. I love summer nights.

Here's cute Crystal and Drew:

Sitting safely on the sidewalk watching Todd and Matt do their thing. I love how happy they all are.

Aubrey and Grandma keeping warm.

Paige & Mac.

Todd lighting the kids sparklers.

Cute cousin girls.

Cute Pregnant Kim. She's 32 weeks (?) here with twin girls. This picture doesn't show how HUGE her belly is. She looked amazing everywhere else, lucky girl. NOT so lucky to be contracting since 20 weeks and having to have to have her labor stopped etc.

Todd and Chad chillin' on the stairs.

One of Aburey's favorite toys was this car. Hours of fun between the car and their great dog Stanley.

And finally, here are all the cousins together (well minus the other Babbitts). Thanks for a fun time everyone!!! Love you lots.

We drive past Roaring Springs every time we drive to see my family in WA--we finally planned it in our trip to stop one time and LOVED it! So much that we made a special trip to Boise the next year JUST for that water park. My kids STILL talk about it, it's their fav!
