Our 4th of July

I don't love our neighborhood bike parade. I think it's weak and pretty boring but the girls enjoy it and it's easy so we continue to do it. Paige just learned how to ride her bike so this was her first time riding without training wheels in the parade. She doesn't know how to use the breaks yet and just learned a couple of days ago how to start on her own so this was a BIG deal for her. She did awesome. Logan didn't want to go as slow as Paige needed to so she rode up ahead and I jogged behind her with Aubrey in the stroller. It was fun and they got candy so they were happy. Prepare yourself for a lot of pictures.

We went home and chilled out for a few hours and then decided to take Logan to get her ears pierced. We didn't know that Aspen Grove was having some sort of flea market that day so we strolled around that for a bit after the ear piercing. Nothing to see so we got some ice cream and went home for lunch.

We made all 3 girls take naps since we knew we'd be up late watching fireworks and when they woke up we headed to the Albrechtsens for a BBQ and fireworks. It was a great night hanging with them and the Korths and Glatts and Nalens. We lit fireworks in the streets, watched fireworks, played cards till midnight and then did some sparklers before heading home. Aubery was asleep during the fireworks but was awake for the sparklers so that's why her eyes are all squinty. Poor kid just woke up and wanted to go back to bed! We had a fun day and night. Happy 4th!!!
